112 sets of 1500Nm ³/h+24 sets of 2000Nm ³/h alkaline electrolyzers, 500000 t/a wind power hydrogen production and green ammonia technology demonstration project of middling coal Ordos Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd

This project plans to construct a 500000 ton/year wind solar hydrogen synthesisgreen ammonia technology demonstration project, which mainly includes fourparts: wind solar power generation, electrolysis water to hydrogen storage, energystorage, and green hydrogen chemical industny.

Construction of 1.23GW (AC side)/1 .63GW (DC side) photovoltaic, 1.7GW windpower, 5 35KV/220KV boosting stations, 1 220kV collection station (merged withone of the 35KV1220KV boosting stations),1 220kV135KV step-down station, and67.7 kilometers of 220KV transmission lines for renewable energy wind and solarpower generation; Supporting the construction of 30MW/15MWh electrochemicaeneray storaae facilities, The planned hvdroaen production capacity for theelectrolysis water production and storage section is 101300 tons/year, includingthe construction of 216000Nm $h alkaline electrolysis water hydrogen productionequipment, the installation of 112 sets of 1500Nm $/h alkaline electrolysis tanksand 24 sets of 2000Nm $/h alkaline electrolysis tanks, and the installation of 482000m s spherical storage tanks for hydrogen storage. The hydrogen storagecapacity is 1.056 million Nm s, which can meet the continuous hydrogen demandof downstream synthetic green ammonia units for about 8.1 hours of full loadoperation.Green hydrogen chemical industry includes green hydrogen synthesisof green ammonia and synthetic urea, with an annual output of 500000 tons ofsynthetic green ammonia and an installed capacity of 800000 tons of syntheticammonia. Green ammonia is further coupled with existing coal chemical plants tocapture CO2 from refined coal chemical tail gas and synthesize green urea, withan annual output of 880000 tons.

The construction site of the project is in Wushen Banner, Ordos City. The winopower photovoltaic field is located in Wushenzhao Town and Galutu Town ofWushen Banner, and the hydrogen and ammonia production plant is located inthe park of middling coal Ordos Energy and Chemical Co., Ltd. in Tuke IndustrialPark, Tuke Town. The construction unit has completed the risk factor investigationof the wind farm, photovoltaic field area, and 220kV transmission line land.meeting the various land requirements for wind power generation, photovoltaicpower generation, and transmission line construction. The land used in thehydrogen production and chemical synthesis plant area is the industrial land thathas been collected and stored in the Tuke industrial project area, and the landconditions for project construction are good. This project has a direct carbonemissions of 0 tons and does not consume fossil raw materials. Compared to coabased synthetic ammonia projects of the same scale, it reduces direct carbonemissions by 1.99 million tons per year and standard coal consumption by660000 tons per year. Further utilizing 520000 tons of green ammonia for ureasynthesis can produce 920000 tons of areen urea annually and absorb a total of680000 tons of CO2 from chemical tail gas. The project is scheduled to startconstruction in April 2025 and be completed in May 2027.
